Arkansas Tech’s literary journal Nebo is looking for submissions by student writers. Each semester, the literary journal chooses a theme that each submission embodies; this semester, that theme is food; cooking, eating, and commenting about a college student’s favorite pastime. Nebo is the award-winning literary journal published on campus by students majoring in Creative Writing or English. Although the journal frequently publishes experienced writers from across the country, ATU students are encouraged to submit poetry and fiction, giving them a taste of the writing process, acceptance and rejections including. As a small journal consisting of students, Nebo offers an exciting opportunity for students interested in the literary world and those who would like to have their writing published. Students who are interested in submitting any food-themed writing to Nebo can email submissions to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Please do not send more than 5 poems at once, and do not send fiction that exceeds 2,500 words. Include a word count for fiction submissions as well as a brief biography; include any previous publishing experience. Do not send creative work that has been previously published. In addition to written submissions, Nebo is also looking for cover art with an image that suits the journal’s food theme. Students who are interested in sending illustrations, photography, or other images should send their work via email. The deadline for this semester’s journal is October 31, 2011. |
