Who can stop the Diaper Dandies? With the All-University Tournament just a day away, several intramural teams will be searching for an answer to that very question. Tech’s most prolific men’s intramural team has once again completed a dominating regular season undefeated, this time winning their games by an average margin of nearly 50 points.

However, they are not alone in the ranks of the undefeated. Another intramural staple, St. Leo’s, posted a perfect 5-0 record, winning most of its games handily. Channel 4 News Team also finished unbeaten, joining St. Leo’s as the favorites to upset the Diaper Dandies in Monday’s All-U Tournament.

The lone team from the Gold League to close the regular season unscathed was Too Legit. The Gold League champions were not without its share of competitors though, winning four of their five games by less than 10 points.

Other favored teams in the upcoming All-U Tournament include Showstoppers, who gave St. Leo’s their closest game at 63-58. Seagals Scent of Action finished a point away from an undefeated regular season. The Jayhawks finished at 4-1 after dropping their last contest 56-51 against Too Legit.

“We’re very excited about our chances,” said Nathan Ware, a sophomore computer science major and member of Seagals Scent of Action. “There are a lot of good teams in this year’s tournament and I think it’s wide open. Nobody is unbeatable.”

The women’s division saw a new favorite emerge, as United finished 4-1 to knock reigning champion St. Leo’s from its lofty perch. The Saints finished 3-2, but are still expected to defend their title well in Tuesday’s All-U Tournament.

Absolute Skill and the Brick Layers are among the favored teams vying for a championship on Tuesday, finishing 4-1 and 3-2 respectively out of the Green League. Blue Crush and Delta Zeta both finished 4-1 out of the Gold League.

Tech’s women’s teams have enjoyed a great deal of success in recent years, making an impact at both the regional and national levels. That sensation is expected to continue this year with a bevy of talented teams in the mix.
