Cara Delevingne is known as one of the most popular models to date, which works for the most famous fashion houses.
The model told Vogue magazine about her new collaboration with Olivier Rousteing and PUMA.
In collaboration with her good friend and creative director of Balmain Olivier Rousteing and sportswear brand Puma, the British top model created the Puma x Balmain collection. Cara Delevingne spoke about the new unisex collection, which conveys her love of sports.
«It was easy! Olivier and I always wanted to work together, so it was a pretty simple choice. In 2014, I participated in one of his Balmain campaigns, after which our working relationship quickly grew into a close friendship,» Cara shared.
The new Puma x Balmain collection consists of 35 different designs, ranging from tracksuits and tops, to dresses and sneakers. The collection was inspired by traditional boxing clothes influenced by the style of Balmain, Puma and Cara Delevingne.
Both Cara Delevingne and Olivier Rousteing are fond of boxing, which served as the basis for the idea of this collection. Therefore, the model explains: «I love boxing and have been working with a coach for a long time. Boxing is often misunderstood. I see this sport as a way of self-expression. I think this is the perfect inspiration for this collection.»
Cara and Olivier chose not a men's and women's collection, but unisex clothing that everyone can wear: «For us it was an important choice - unisex, because the main themes of design are acceptance, love and personal identity,» says Kara. «That's why we designed this collection for everyone.»
