Today, Doodle celebrates the 91st birthday of Roberto Gómez Bolaños, the legendary Mexican artist, writer, and producer of Chespirito.
Many people were charmed by this amazing person and could not take their eyes off the screen when he spoke. He is known for creating and starring many of Mexico's most favorite TV series.
Roberto Gómez Bolaños was born on this day in 1929 in Mexico City. He found his main calling in writing quickly enough and succeeded there. And his success increased every year.
He got a charming nickname «Chespirito», which he had for the rest of his life and it was a great proof of his popularity. One of his first major breakthroughs happened in 1970, when he launched his own comedy show. The popularity of the show exceeded even the boldest expectations.
He had been directing the creation of many episodes on TV, movies and plays for over 40 years. His legacy has been actual up to now, a lot of his works have been translated into more than 50 languages. This is a great achievement for just one person. We bet you could hardly find a man who could do this all!
